Ajja
When
I think of Ajja and try and express who he is and what he means to me,
there is an immense sense of Mystery……Emptiness…...Love. It is as if he
comes from another Planet. His absolute authenticity eclipses all others.
The depth of trust we experienced with him was Grace. Any interaction
with him, no matter what form it took, is such a blessing. I feel I can
speak of him to anyone and am frequently amazed how this touches people
Being at his Ashram was a beautiful event. I wanted to go there again
and again and again. I am sure that all those who went were deeply effected
by his Presence (seen and unseen), even if they didn't always realise
it. Life at Ananda Kuteera could be challenging. There were often quite
strenuous physical duties, and a stripping away of self that took various
forms. This was Ajja's marvellous gift to us. He was always taking care
of us. Ananda Kuteera is the most wonderful and happiest place I have
ever been. A place of harmonious natural order. A place in which the heart
opens and the individual soul merges with Silence.
Ajja's presence seemed omniscient. His Grace was Heart Breakingly Beautiful.
So Human. So Divine. So much Love. Seeing Ajja walking in the garden in
the early morning was utterly cosmic. He seemed not of this world. More,
the world seemed to be part of him. He radiated Divinity and reached the
inner core of our humanity unlike anybody I have ever met. He combined
the holiest of mysteries with being alive right now and shared it so abundantly.
He plants a seed and nurtures a fascination within us, that pulls us towards
the Unknown, that heals, that liberates.
I believe his Presence has a beneficial effect on the Whole that is difficult
to quantify or fully understand. His Presence is always with us. Who is
Ajja? I only know He is very, very great.
